Introduction Practice Entry

My Name is Nicole Davy, I am a 32 year old mother of two boys.  I am a Phoenix native, and work as a tattooer and artist in a private studio.

This is some of my work, the lady with the swan is an oil painting with gold leaf.  The other is a tattoo on a artist I respect and was honored to get to tattoo.

My interests are in the arts, I enjoy all kinds of different mediums and go to art shows and museums to learn more about different artists.  I also really like music and try to go to small venue shows often to see musicians play.

Some of my hobbies are yoga, and camping, I have a huge passion for painting and sculpting as well.  Some of my work consists of recycling objects and turning them into other things that still function.  I made this fish from pennies, Styrofoam and a headlamp that were all reclaimed from the trash or piggy banks.

My goals in attending Glendale Community College are to obtain a associates degree in Fine Art and to then transfer to Arizona State University to begin a longer art program.  I will be attending college until I get a Masters in Fine Art and hope to work in a museum doing conservation on paintings and sculptures after graduation.  I can't think of anything better in life to do for work other than making my own art, than to clean old priceless art, and getting paid for it.
In general, my goal in attending school is to obtain a degree that helps open more doors in the future for me as an artist and better the lives of my family.
